The town of Pongola is small town just 10 km from the Swaziland border in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains. Rich in Anglo and Zulu Boer War history, Pongola is surrounded by 50 km² of sugarcane and subtropical fruit plantations. When travelling North from Durban: Pass the towns of Empangeni, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe, 39km past Mkuze, turn left onto our farm road 200m after Golela/Swaziland road. Travel along this road for 1,5km until you reach our homestead. It is clearly signposted from the N2.
When travelling South from Johannesburg: The route is the N17 to Bethal, through Ermelo, Piet Retief, 27km past Pongola, turn right onto our farm road 200m before the Golela/Swaziland road. Travel along this road for 1,5km until you reach our homestead. It is clearly signposted from the N2.
When traveling South from Kruger Park, Crocodile Bridge: The quickest route is through Swaziland using the Mananga, border post. Continue south towards Big Bend, to Lavumisa border post. From here, travel for 10 km into KwaZulu Natal, until you reach the N2 highway. At this T-junction, turn right for only a couple of meters and then you will see the entrance on your left handside.
