Lying on the other side of the Keurbooms River from Plettenberg Bay, Keurboomstrand (or beach) lies on an enviable part of the Garden Route, highly popular for camping, fishing and swimming. But don't let the idea of holiday fever crowds deter you during the off season, as the views and beach at Keurbooms Strand are pretty spectacular. FROM CAPE TOWN
This trip is 550 km and will take approximately 6 hours. Travel along the N2 from Cape Town through the Overberg, Mossel Bay, George, Wilderness and Knysna. It is a pleasant and scenic drive. Approximately 10 km past Plettenberg Bay towards Port Elizabeth, go past the first two turnoffs to Keurbooms strand and at the top of the hill you will find a Vodacom cell phone tower. Turn right at the foot of the tower and proceed for 1.5 km.
FROM PORT ELIZABETH
This trip will take you 2.5 hours and is 220 km. Take the N2 towards Cape Town past, Jeffery's Bay, Humansdorp, Stormsriver and the Tsitsikamma toll gate. Approximately 21 km from there past the CRAGGS petrol station you will find a Vodacom cell phone tower on your left. Turn left at the foot of the tower and proceed 1.5 km and you will see our signs.
