A mere hour's drive from Cape Town brings one to a giant granite outcrop with three rounded domes, the prominent one of which was initially called Peerleberg or Pearl Mountain by Abraham Gabemma. From Cape Town:
If coming on the N1 from Cape Town direction take the R44 off-ramp at Klapmuts. At the STOP street of the off-ramp turn left in the direction of Wellington. Continue on this road for about 15km. When the road becomes double carriage at Windmeul Kelder look out for the signposts indicating Paarl. Turn right in the direction of Paarl. Continue for about 3,5 km along this road. Under Oaks is situated on the left – big gates at the entrance with white flags.
From Paarl:
Follow the Main Road through Paarl. In Northern Paarl you will see the beginning of the farms as the vineyards come into view. Continue straight with Paarl Main Road - it will
take you up a hill and out of town. Follow this road for approximately 3 km. Under Oaks is situated on the right.
