Follow the N1 to Polokwane
Take the Marble Hall/ Nylstroom turn off at the tollgate. Go through the tollgate on the far left.
Travel through Nylstroom.
Continue on to Vaalwater.
Stop at the Big 5 centre to check into the Kwalata Wilderness Office or call the office on 014 755 4104 as you pass through.
Proceed through Vaalwater; just as you are about to leave Vaalwater turn right, away from the shopping centre with Zeederberg Spar & Total Garage on your left hand side.
Turn right on to the R33 and continue on the tar road for 33km.
Turn right onto the dirt Visgat road. (If you see the signs for Poer se Loop turn back)
Travel for approx 11km on the dirt road to the T-junction.
Turn left at the T-junction (you will see the Kwalata directional sign) and continue for 23km to the gate.
After the T-junction continue straight past the Success road on the right.
After approximately 23km of dirt road you will see the Kwalata main gate on your right recessed from the road. This gate has a thatched roof.
Should you miss the main gate approx 3km further is the "Office" gate which is closest to Valamanzi.
