What an amazing time we had... 10/10

Unfortunately we cannot give a good review. First off all I have to mention that the Lodge is now under new management. The owners are very friendly, and really attended to our requests, and this is where the good review stops. We were booked into the Island room, and it doesn't look like the pictures at all!!! All the decor was removed. The furniture is very old, and dated out of the 70's. The bed was very comfortable. There was no blind or curtain in-front of the bathroom window, and we were very uncomfortable to take a bath. The garden needs work, and old leaves need to be removed. There was dirt on the ground at our braai area, and when we booked in, there was clothes of the contractors doing repairs at the lodge, on the table at our unit. There is no drinking water to make coffee, and the tap water cannot be used, as it is brown and smells like the dam!!! The kettle is on the floor, and we had to go to a coffee shop in the morning to drink coffee and buy water. The cutlery is in very poor condition and no plates matches, it is very old and need to be replaced. The sliding door and opening window in the bathroom does not close properly. The cupboard doors are damaged and in a very poor condition. The bath is scratched and the outlet is blocked with hair etc. We do understand that the new owners just took over, and we hope they can make this place work, but we were very disappointed and did not get what we paid for. Good luck to the new owners, we do hope you can turn this place around!!

Peaceful, beautiful, rustic with a flair of luxury

My boyfriend took me to Willinga Lodge for my birthday, the place was breathtaking and romantic with the Bali theme; our very own paradise just hours away. I will definitely revisit the lodge.

We had a very great time here. And since we had car problems, they offered us a ride to the restaurant. The place is beautiful and has a perfect view of the dam

Very enjoyable from arrival to departure. Everything is close by.... went on a boat-ride, took my daughter the zoo, the cableway...etc... Very tranquil environment - very safe... friendly and helpful staff ... Love the way we were surrounded by trees and different kind of plant life. Very private location and away from the hustle and bustle of Gauteng. My daughter was very sad on the day of our departure :) - will definately be going back.

My husband took me to Willinga Lodge for our engagement. It was absolutely stunning...Thumbs up for Willinga Lodge what an AWESOME Experience!!!
