We refer to the Owl cottage as our family " Bling "cottage decorated in reds and silver and is one of the largest single room cottages with a Queen-size bed and two single sleeper couches for two children under 12 years. The only cottage with its own private deck allows you to have a very private sun-downer while relaxing on your deck and overlooking the Lions River. There is a Queen-size bed and your own spa bath inside the room and an en-suite shower. The cottage is situated on its own to the right of the main house facing the river. Duiker and large dassies are often seen from the balcony. Lovely location for studying birds as we have a huge variety.

Procedure for Arrival of guests to book in:
- Guest arrives in their vehicle & park in parking area.
- The guest remains in their vehicle until a Hawklee Country House (HCH) staff member invites them in and leads them to the new reception area.
- The guest/s will be shown to their chalet/s & given all the required.
- Cardholder & ID/Passport is required at check-in / preferably prior to arrival
- Credit card used for online payment to be present at check-in

Deposits are required to confirm a booking, usually 50% but sometimes as high as 100% depending on season and time till check-in.
