Has such a rich history ! Had a lovely warm reception from our hostess Betty😀. Really enjoyed being treated to fresh homemade scones in the morning ! Bedding was warm. Accommodation was clean. Enjoyed the fireplace and wood provided . All in all a very pleasant experience ! Also can't get closer to the road up to Sani Pass .

Betty was very friendly and welcoming and her and her husband provided us with useful advice and information. The cottage we stayed in, Rose Cottage, was clean, comfortable and well equipped and had an old-fashioned charm. Toiletries, tissues and, on request, a hair dryer were provided. The old safes bricked into the walls of the living/bedroom and kitchen provided evidence of the building's previous existence as part of a trading post. Although the WiFi connection was stronger outside the adjacent cottage, we managed to receive a signal inside Rose Cottage. The freshly baked scones brought every morning by a member of staff were delicious. The views from the grounds of the cottages and the hill behind are amazing. We climbed part way up the latter and found the path easy to follow and not particularly strenuous. During the hike we saw various antelope and a chameleon and had clear views of the Sani Pass, which we had travelled up the previous day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place. The small extra touches were so appreciated. We highly recommend Mkomazana!

The location is excellent but we stayed in Stone House which is badly in need of some attention. e.g. Bathroom sink detached from wall - only supported by pipework, wall heater in middle bedroom not working, broken pane of glass in kitchen window.

Many thanks to our very hospitable hosts. After driving 250 kms, we were delighted to arrive at Mkomazana to a very warm welcome. Coot Cottage was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the scones which were delivered to our cottage in the morning (would love the recipe). Thanks again.

Had a fantastic stay just before the Sani2C race. Perfectly located, the highest accomodation up the Sani Pass, just as the views become spectacular ! Friendly owners.
