A truly magnificent experience that exceeded all of our expectations. Numbi is a slice of heaven and we felt so privileged to enjoy all the the farm has on offer...the fire bath, yoga with Kath, pizzas, bike rides and walks in the surrounds...too many highlights to mention. We are already plotting our return...thank you for having us...treasured memories!

This is without a doubt one of the greatest weekend trips we have ever taken. From the absolute serenity of the area to the perfection of the accommodations, there was nothing about the stay that did not blow past our expectations. Truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. Kathryn and Ross were amazing hosts and added so much to the experience - we felt completely at home on the farm. Everything about this unique venue was wonderful; the beautiful cob cottage, the spectacular setting, the attention to detail, the gift of home-grown herbs and veggies, the kind and considerate hosts, the inspiring experience of living off the grid.......we will definitely be back!

We used the cottage at Numbi Valley as a base to explore the surrounding area. We loved our visit to the Cango Caves on our first day, the following day we drove the circular route over the dramatic Swartberg pass to enjoy a lunch in the Karoo town of Prince Albert and drove back through the magnificent Meiringspoort. Our third day on the farm we spent cycling the country roads between the farm and the small town of De Rust. The cottage was the perfect farm stay: its beautiful quiet setting, clean accommodation, well thought out unique facilities and lovely hosts made this a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploring. We will definitely be back!

This farm is a total inspiration! On arrival we received a gift of Numbi Valley organic olive oil and fresh veggies from the garden, which were the best we have ever tasted. We did a permaculture garden tour with Kath, and Ross showed us the cob buildings and simple yet totally effective solar systems. We walked in the hills surrounding the farm, loved the wood fired pizzas they make from scratch and swam in the spring fed fresh water pool when it got hot. The clean and comfortable cottage is creative, equipped perfectly for self catering and has beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the bird baths around the cottage which attract a wonderful array of species. We had booked for two nights but stayed for 3...could have stayed longer. Loved this place!

We loved our stay at this beautiful and unique off-the-grid farm! The views of the Swartberg Mountains from the cottage, braai area and pool are magnificent. This combined with a clean and cozy cottage make it our new favourite country getaway, and it is pet friendly, so our dogs loved it too. The indoor fireplace worked very well, and the soft extra blankets made it very warm on the cool winter nights. Thank you Cath and Ross for a wonderful 3 night stay on your farm that we can highly recommend to all our family and friends.
