The cosy little hamlet of Umzumbe lies between the Umzumbe and Ingambili Rivers, just 5 kilometres south of Hibberdene and 100 kilometres from Durban. The village itself is almost blanketed in a wild dune forest, access to its unspoilt beach is easy, and it offers a slice of the paradise that is this part of the coast. Coming from Durban:
Take the N2 for 90 km south from Durban. Take the Hibberdene Off Ramp (No 72) on to the R 102. Travel for 7.6 Km towards Port Shepstone At the top of the hill (after you come over the Umzumbe River bridge), take the turn off at the right that is the "Umzumbe- Fairview" off ramp. Turn left (Station Road), over the bridge over the R 102.
About 20 metres on, comes a fork, keep left (the first road left) is LADY MOORE PLACE, follow to the end of Lady Moor Place, makes a sharp right turn - and becomes Green Lane, Lot 247, you look down onto our wooden pole fence, that is the entrance to our Development "The Tides" there are 4 grey cladded double story houses, ours is No: 6 so press No 6!
